Chapel of St. John the Evangelist

This chapel (C. 1080) is a supreme example of Norman Church building. Long since stripped of its painted decoration, the Norman stone work remains unchanged. The chamber measures 55 1/2 ft. by 31 ft. In the White Tower, the Tower of London, London, England. Scanned 35mm negative. (Eng-05013)

This window in Lincoln Cathedral is filled with 19th Century glass. The cinquefoil window dates from the 13th Century. The window below is from the 14th Century. It shows 10 Old Testament kings and incorporates some fragments of medieval glass. Lincoln, England Scanned 35mm negative. (Eng-14029)

Heritage Park Victorian Village, adjacent to Old Town San Diego, California. Constructed in 1889 by the Congregation Beth Israel, this was the first synagogue in San Diego. It was also used on a temporary basis by other religious groups until they could construct their own buildings. (IMG_4265)
