Pier A aka Liberty Pier
A municipal pier, owned by the State of New York, on the Hudson River at Battery Park completed in 1886. The clock, a ship's clock, was installed in 1919 as memorial to the US soldiers killed in WWI. The last of the historic piers that remains, it is on the National Register of Historic Places and is a New York City Landmark. (DSC01580)
