Alabama snowman, Etowah County, Alabama

I have lived in N. Alabama for 6 1/2 years and except for one or two dustings have not had any significant snow until this winter (2011). The first significant snow fell on on Christmas Day. Then came this snowfall which was about 6 inches deep. It fell on Sunday. It is now the following Saturday. I have been snowed in since then. My driveway, which is almost a quarter mile long, iced over the first day. Today was the first day that the temperature has been significantly above freezing. Hopefully, by tomorrow, I will finally be able to get down the driveway in my car.
