Captain Scott led an ill-fated scientific expedition to the South Pole. He and his companions perished as they neared the end of their return journey from the Pole. This artwork is on the side of the Lady Hamilton Bed & Breakfast Hotel, opposite The Hard, on Portsmouth's waterfront. The title is my own interpretation as I have no idea what the artist called it.
