They were learning about the plants that grow on Seaford Head, one of the headlands that form the southern boundary of the South Downs National Park. I don't know what this plant is. The fuzzy balls look as if they are the seed heads, but were they each a flower before this?

I am not 100% sure about the species of either the flower or the bee. In another shot the back of the bee's abdomen has a black leathery look to it.
