Seaford Head Nature Reserve

The initial group of photos were taken when I was invited to join a walk with the Seaford Natural History Society. They were learning about the plants that grow on Seaford Head, one of the headlands that form the southern boundary of the South Downs National Park. I was too busy taking photos to absorb much of the botanical information. I tend to snap first and look up what I have taken later. Sarah Raven's huge volume 'Wild Flowers' is beautifully illustrated and brilliantly indexed, by common names, by botanical names and by photos organised by colour of the flowers.
