The two yachts were heading down stream having passed through the swing bridge, presumably having been in one of the boat yards around Denton Island. The cabin cruiser was heading towards the bridge and was seen to head into the branch of the Ouse where the boatyards are.
The items of heavy plant on the far shore were clearing away the former railway engine sheds and other old dockside building, prior to major redevelopments that are planned for the port.

A version with the cutter heading the other way was uploaded some time ago, but I like this little vessel so much I thought both sides of it deserved to be seen. For a working boat the lines are elegant and yet you know it must have been a tough little boat - like its crew. Pilot boats have to go out in all weathers to help larger ships get in and out of ports safely.
I can't see any name on this yacht. I think that it had come down from beyond the swing bridge, which could mean that it had been in one of the boat yards around Denton Island.
The retired lightship saw service off the coast of Norfolk, the Humber, near Dover and elsewhere around the British Isles before being decommissioned in 1991.
