Herefordshire

Photographs from the 19th century onwards of people and places in Herefordshire. My family descends from the Pritchards of Hereford, proprietors of the gentlemen's outfitters close to the Cathedral. My maternal grandmother had three sisters and two brothers, all were keen photographers except for Edgar, who was blind. My father who moved into the city in early childhood was also an enthusiastic photographer, particularly of railways and the family.
