Fortunately the rear end of Treacle was the plain open end of the inflatable, so I could photograph its innards with my feet on firm ground. My old joints would not have coped with clambering around on a flexible surface. My one contact - with the Octopus - was on a solid surface. Regaining an upright stance from that took some effort, but it was worth it, as it encouraged my little granddaughter to start playing with the exhibits.
