I uploaded these two old photos having seen Denis Croissant's one from last summer with the full-size Hereford bull sculpture in the foreground.
Pritchard's tailors and outfitters, over on the far left, is a family business. Walter was my maternal great-grandfather. The business followed the male line!

Wow Phil! 2 great photos, interesting to see the Black & White House connected to the rest of the street, not an island site like today...another wow is Pritchards...quite the retail survivor and quite the department store now...also the Edwards Silk Merchants store on the right could now be M&S? Anyway thanks for some excellent pics and bit of family history....
