Interesting composition. Horizontally it's like an X with an arm missing -- an idea I will be trying to find opportunities to steal because it really creates depth. The depth also prevents the view from being overwhelmed by the tower -- my eyes looked at everything.

It was the turbulent water that caught my eye. I have been there before and the river is often a rather slow moving with a fairly dingy colour, which makes the view dull and uninteresting. Oxford is so built up that it can be hard to get good positions to take some of the buildings.
