The village of Alfriston is beyond the furthest point of the Cuckmere River that you see here. The hamlets of Litlington and Lullington are hidden among the trees at the far side of the valley.

Thanks, Brian. I only ventured on this hillside route to the west of the Cuckmere last year, 5 years after moving here. It does give some great views up and down the valley.
