There was a recent news report from, I think, Bristol, where they are dredging a channel. It showed them lifting out trolleys, of which there are many. Next they will start on the cars?!

Phil Sutters club has replied to Cold War Warrior
It costs a bob or two to have a car scrapped, so dumping becomes attractive - but I suppose with VIN numbers even dumped cars can be traced and potentially their disposal charged for. Some of course will be stolen ones, dumped after joy-riding or use in crime.
