I only have the initials of the organisation running the trip - Greater Manchester Railway Society ? Was Greater Manchester a name used in the early 1960s? Even Greater London hadn't been created until 1965. Grimsby/ Gosport/ Gower Model Railway Society? Model railway groups tend to be clubs rather than societies - although I expect some are the latter. So what was it?

Try the Gainsborough Model Railway Society. Outwards from Gainsborough via Lincoln, Leicester, Banbury to Southampton. Return from Southampton via Banbury, Derby, Worksop to Gainsborough. Hauled throughout by Pacific 4472 'Flying Scotsman'. Details on the site 'Six Bells Junction'.
