I suspect that this is a Somerset & Dorset shot but I am not sure about the location. My guess is that it's Evercreech Junction with 41296 sitting in the middle road on a Highbridge train, waiting for a Bath bound train to come through - maybe something that has brought some enthusiasts out!
29.12.2012 - I don't know why I didn't spot it before, but there is the scanned from print version at www.ipernity.com/doc/364457/26460609 which gives the date as 11.12.1965
2.4.2014 Now that I have checked Dad's spotting day books, I see, that the train 41296 is waiting to follow north, was the 11.46 Bournemouth to Bristol, hauled by 75072. This can be seen at www.ipernity.com/doc/364457/26467041 Dad travelled on that train as far as Bath Green Park.
