Where The Witches Dwell Beyond the shafts of evolving tyme amidst the grapes of sun soaked wine Within the walls of every church every leaf and every birth Behind the eyes of a child’s dream gently sleeping beside the stream In storms of love to sandy caves riding Natures breath and cresting waves Between the moon and Mother Earth In dancing fyres, laughs, and cures Singing ’round humanity touching hearts living free Without shame or guilt or fear of hell This is where the witches dwell Whitedog (Pagan Poet) "Sunshine" for the Poetography Group

High Flight ~ Clouds

20 Sep 2012 27 44 698
"Clouds" for the Poetography Group (original in Note) High Flight by John Gillespie Magee, Jr. Oh! I have slipped the surly bonds of Earth And danced the skies on laughter-silvered wings; Sunward I’ve climbed, and joined the tumbling mirth of sun-split clouds, — and done a hundred things You have not dreamed of — wheeled and soared and swung High in the sunlit silence. Hov’ring there, I’ve chased the shouting wind along, and flung My eager craft through footless halls of air.... Up, up the long, delirious, burning blue I’ve topped the wind-swept heights with easy grace. Where never lark, or even eagle flew — And, while with silent, lifting mind I've trod The high untrespassed sanctity of space, - Put out my hand, and touched the face of God. It has a special meaning this photo. A dear friend's 22 year old son passed away in a tragic accident the day before. A wonderful young man.. full of compassion and life. He was training to be a vet assistant.. and was also following up when he could afford it.. his Air Training Corps stuff and learning to fly. I had gone outside on the deck to just find some peace of mind.... and the sky opened up... I felt it was something special... a sign.. whatever. I used the photo for his Funeral Service card with John Gillespie Magee Jr's "High Flight" as a poem. It is the only non dog picture of mine I have framed. It means alot to me.

My Poppy from the Tower Of London "Blood Swept Lands And Seas of Red" installation to commemorate the 100 years since World War I has just arrived. I didnt know it was it.. and I opened the box and was hit with a huge emotional wave. I just stood and cried. It still has earth on from the Tower of London (that in itself is so emotive... my Home.. My England that I miss so much. I used to walk past the Tower daily when I did my apprentiship). The impact of finally seeing this Poppy ... one of 888,246 that represents someone who died in World War I was an enormous emotional hit. I have now assembled the Poppy.. it means so very very much to me. I was brought up to Honour the Poppies and ALL they represented. This is a special thing for me. poppies.hrp.org.uk/about-the-installation www.bbc.com/news/in-pictures-29935592 www.bbc.com/news/uk-england-london-30001177 "Love" for the Poetography Group

In beauty, may I walk. All day long, may I walk. Through the returning seasons, may I walk. Beautifully I will possess again. Beautifully birds… Beautifully joyful birds… On the trail marked with pollen, may I walk. With grasshoppers about my feet, may I walk. With dew about my feet, may I walk. With beauty before me, may I walk. With beauty behind me, may I walk. With beauty above me, may I walk. With beauty all around me, may I walk. In old age, wandering on a trail of beauty, lively, may I walk. In old age, wandering on a trail of beauty, living again, may I walk. It is finished in beauty. S.S Great Britain FONT: TheNautiGal For the Poetography Group "Glass" G for the Alphabet Site This is not a reflection... Photo is taken looking up from the bottom of the Dry Dock through 2 layers of amour plate glass with water flowing between them One of my favourite places in the world. Sir Isambard Kingdom Brunel is one of my Top Five Heros S.S.Great Britain Brunel’s S.S.Great Britain is one of the most important historic ships in the world. When she was launched in 1843, she was called ‘the greatest experiment since the Creation’. No one had ever designed so vast a ship, nor had the vision to build it of iron. Brunel fitted her with a 1000 hp steam engine, the most powerful yet used at sea. Perhaps most daring of all, Brunel rejected using conventional paddle wheels to drive his ship. Instead, he gave the ss Great Britain a screw propeller. This was the newest invention in maritime technology. By seeing how to combine these key innovations, Brunel created a ship that changed history. www.ssgreatbritain.org Keeping the Dock Dry The Dry Dock has also undergone a transformation. Moisture is the enemy of the ss Great Britain and her iron hull is extremely vulnerable to corrosion. To keep the air as dry as possible the Dry Dock has been sealed by a huge water-line glass plate. The plate surrounds the ship, flooded with a shallow layer of water to give the illusion of being afloat. This also acts as an insulator, helping to save between 10% and 20% in energy bills. Beneath the plate the air is kept dry by a giant dehumidification plant (its sister plant lies inside the ship’s hull) which ensures the atmosphere around the hull is maintained at a relative humidity of 20%. This means that the air in the Dry Dock is now as arid as that of the Arizona Desert! The water never touches her and it flows between two layers of amour plate glass www.ssgreatbritain.org/story/dry-dock ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ If you feel like seeing more of my pics of her .... the link below will take you to her last time I was Home in March 2011. snowdropsanglosaxonchronicals.shutterfly.com/pictures/978 EXPLORED !

'Wind' ~ Poetography

20 Feb 2013 1 9 411
The North wind doth blow and we shall have snow, And what will poor robin do then, poor thing? He'll sit in a barn and keep himself warm and hide his head under his wing, poor thing. 'The North Wind doth blow' or 'The Robin'? This nursery rhyme is referred to as either the North Wind doth blow or The Robin. It is British in its origins - believed to have originated as far back as 16th century history and using the olde English word 'doth'. The purpose of the rhyme is to ensure that a child associates security and warmth to home whilst empathising with the plight of the robin. FONT : PlymouthRock "SnowDusted" For the Poetography Group
