Your butterflies are more exotic than ours in the UK, Pam.

BTW I've bought a Sony. Our local camera shop didn't have the SONY DSC-HX400V, so I part exchanged a Canon zoom lens and bought the SONY DSC-HX350V. It's taking me a bit of time to get used to it, and I have nowhere near had a go at the various functions, but I'll get there hopefully.

There is honestly not a lot of difference in the two.

I was reading about it on the Sony site the other night ! Just take your time.. enjoy it. My tip is to start with it (and any new camera) on full auto. See what it does and if you like the results of the settings it uses.. that gives you a really good starting point to use manual settings. If you don't like the auto settings.. that also gives you a starting point !

Amelia... I would come Home tomorrow. Can't enjoy "summer" here.. temps over 100F... drought and then humidity ! Then there are the poisonous snakes and spiders...

I honestly feel for you Ron.

When I went to SF last October I had 10 days of it ... but could leave.

Here they have "controlled" burns abd we get it , but again its just for a week a year.
