"Winter's" Tail
" Winter " is one of this last Summers babes. This is when the going gets tougher for them.
Here.. they have shelter and food and water whatever the weather... but they need to have learned their survival skills.
I try to support the animal and bird life here.. but not to the point of dependancy. Thats the trick if there is one.

Pam J club has replied to Dick MPam J club has replied to Christiane ♥.•*¨`*•✿Pam J club has replied to Esther clubI came to the US nearly 9 years ago... I didnt actually see a rabbit for 6 years. Then it was just one. Then we moved out here in June 2011.. and still none.... til... THIS year.. lots of bunnies ! They lived in the woods. Still seeing a few now.. but we also have a very very health hawk population here.
Basically the little extra I have goes in birdseed//nuts and cheap food for the rest. My dogs eat the best there is.. but I cant afford that luxury for the wildlife... but it does get food. I fill the feeders twice a day.. and like you.. the ground feeders at dusk and again before bedtime. I will also make sure there is water always... I cart hot water so that in the mornings the wildlife get some chance to drink.. and I do it again at dusk for the night animals. It freezes afore morning.. but its better than nothing. And in Summer and awful heat.. its a lifeline.
I dont put enough out for dependency (it would bankrupt me anyway !!) but its a port in a storm when they need it.
