(Eurema mexicana) Mexican Yellow
With so very few butterflies this year..... this is the second Mexican Yellow I have seen. We are on the edge if its range here.

Lovely to see this different species. My butterflies aren't as good as last year though better than they have been in the past. I've got a small buddleia hedge and we are having a wonderful summer so where are they ? I'm hoping to go over to the palace today to see how they are doing. Their garden is protected by a high wall and is organic so they usually do well.

So few of anything this year.. same for the Bee's . Both things are very worrying.

I am going to try a Buddleia here. You know how they grow like weeds everywhere there ? Not so here ! But... I will try to get one in the Autumn and give it a go.

Fantastic colors, details and light and a lovely composition. I have the same situation as Jean writes about. We have a buddleia and last year many butterflies came but this year I just saw one.
