Pam J club has replied to TimCPam J club has replied to Dave Hilditch.. perhaps Albert knows some other relative who would like this area?
.. great video
.. wish I'd done a video in FL when a squirrel was upside down in the grapefruit tree of my neighbor!
Pam J club has replied to Peggy C clubI think Albert would happily send some for the others !
Can you tell me why he absolutely wanted to go in the box ? Apparently the food was
outside ....
Gorgeous video, Pam ! ******
Pam J club has replied to Christiane ♥.•*¨`*•✿There is food in the boxes too... there can never bee enough food !
BTW, I'm thinking about you every single day! I put a bunch of our seeds onto a plate, separated by type of seed, and have been watering them to try to pop them before putting them into the soil. So far, your "Sunnies on a Stick" are incredible star-performers!! I have gotten at least 15 popped seeds, all of which are now standing tall and proud with their first pair of leaves! I have gotten only one "False Sunny" to pop, but it's happily got a pair of leaves to look out at the world with. My friend's "Irish Eyes" plant produced such lovely flowers, and amazingly, I got two seeds to pop, one of which died, the other is growing up with a tiny pair of leaves. A big zero on my Mule Ears, or your Mimosa, or several others. I will continue to keep the sees moist in the hopes that they have a very long germination time, but they may need special tactics to get them to pop. In any event, please don't expect too much from the seeds I gave you...I am afraid you may not get anything out of them, sad to say! :(
Of course I haven't planted any poppy seeds yet, those I will sprinkle around and cover with a dusting of soil probably at the beginning of May when our last frost will happen. It's hard to resist doing that now with all the warm days, but we have frost in the morning and that will surely kill any babies that pop.
I hope you have some success too! Isn't it fun to think about the fact that there will be many, many Sunnies on a Stick growing so far from your home, and also a False Sunny?! I think it's such a miracle!! Cross your fingers, maybe we'll get some other seeds to pop too!!
Pam J club has replied to Janet Brien clubThe false sunnies are coming as teeny tiny seedless for a second time.. the ice zapped the first lot.. but the millions here give a better chance ! The rest of the seeds I am going to start some in pots next week.. the poppies.. like you... I will save till we get past the frosts !.
I am adopting the attitude that after so much dying in previous years.. what grows ..grows.... what doesnt.. doesnt !!!
Janet Brien club has replied to Pam J clubPam J club has replied to Janet Brien clubI am also gamely trying to smile as a random squirrel ... NOT "Albert" has decided that eating my bluebird nest box roof AND the wall of my garden shed is ok by him..... I am practicing "re education" for him at the moment !!!
Pam J club has replied to RHHPam J club has replied to FantasyfanI have a Red one, more or less a permanent resident in my garden,
Misses Red I call her and she's real clever at emptying the bird feeder.
Thanks for the laugh.
I have a couple of families here..... They know there is food and water !
