I love Monarchs! I have been involved in a couple studies of them and one year, 2007, while they were migrating back home to Mexico, they used my back yard to stay in. There were bunches of them and it was great. After that, I planted milkweed to help lure them back again.

What kind of plant is yours on? They seem to love it!

Kenneth.. I do the Journey North/South as well !

I was delighted when the one you see in these pics came and stayed several days late September last year on their way down to Mexico.

The flowers are false Sunflowers... indigenous here... and the butterflies love them. They self seed.. and survive the awful drought.
