A friend in England was a stonemason ... he polished these for me

As a note.... all the inside windowsills in Chatsworth House in Derbyshire(home of the Duke & Duchess of Devonshire) are polished Derbyshire crinoidal Limestone. The little quarry that came from is disused but can be explored and I have !
