This Indigenous artwork is painted on a wall of the Skywalk taking passengers from the new Airport Central train station to Terminals 1 & 2 of Perth International Airport.
A Happy Wednesday Whadjuk Wall to everyone. Let your mid-week be joyful and calm wherever you are.

A very Happy Fence Friday to everyone. May your day be pleasant and bright and may your weekend be full of good things.
The Wagyl is part of Noongar mythology in Western Australia: a rainbow serpent which created the Swan River and many other features of the south western part of the state. It appears here on the wall of Airport Central train station in Perth.

For World Photography Day, August 19 2023.
Murray Street, Perth WA.
"And suddenly it's evening" by Salvatore Quasimodo
Everyone stands alone at the heart of the world
pierced by a ray of sun:
and suddenly it’s evening.
(Originally in Italian:
"Ed è subito sera" Salvatore Quasimodo
Ognuno sta solo sul cuor della terra
trafitto da un raggio di sole
ed è subito sera.)

Happy Final Fence Friday of 2023 to all. I hope your day, your weekend, your New Year's Eve and your first day of the new year are as spectacular as you would wish them to be. For some strange and highly illogical reason we often look forward more hopefully at this time of year than at any other. Let's hope our aspirations are rewarded.
This is Elizabeth Quay (colloquially called "Betty's Jetty") bus station, Perth.
The colours of the columns relate to the various CAT routes departing from this Busport. The CAT (Central Area Transit) buses are free routes around the city of Perth and are a godsend for those of us who hate city driving or who resent paying exorbitant car parking fees.
Better seen bigger by pressing Z.

The pink colour in this photograph is produced by daylight shining through the dome at the top of the space. This building is the old Carillon City shopping mall in the centre of Perth which closed in 2021 and will soon be demolished.
For the Perth Festival in 2024 Rebecca Baumann created “Light Event” in the three storey glass atrium which once led down these staircases to the food hall. The colour comes from dichroic film applied to the atrium windows. During the day the colour changes as the sun moves.
I have many fond memories of this place over the years …
(Big is infinitely better: please press Z.)
