A whirlwind ride through Tuscany (Siena, Lucca, San Gimignano, Florence) and Rome.
Just outside
There were some neat aqueduct ruins just across the street from our hotel (Emona Aquaeductus).
Parco dell'Appia Antica
Loved this park and would recommend it to anyone visiting Rome - it's only a short ride on the metro from the city center. We were virtually the only tourists here.
