My model of a Caudron C.714. Special Hobby 1/32. This aircraft was flown in the Battle of France by Ladislas Uher, a Czech pilot flying with the escaped Polish pilots of G/C145 in the French air force 1940. Ladislas Uher was originally in the Czech air force, he escaped to Poland after the German takeover in 1939 and joined the Polish air force. When Poland fell he escaped to France via Romania where he became part of the French G/C 145, seeing some combat against the Luftwaffe. As France collapsed the personel from G/C145 and others esaped to England and joined the RAF. Uher first joined 307 (Polish) Squadron followed by 46 and 257 Squadrons . Unfortunately he was posted missing over the North Sea flying a 257 Sqdn Hurricane IIB on 30/6/41- presumably due to engine failure. He now has a memorial in his home town of Mlékojedy.

Steve Bucknell, MARCEL have particularly liked this photo
