I was hoping for a black and white nature photo! I aspire to be able to do this type photography well, so it's great to see this beautiful photo included in our World Photography Day event. Seeing the blue sky dark reminds me of needing filters with certain films to get the same result.

Did you go out to this location specifically for the event, or is this a place you often go?

It is close to where I live but I rarely go there now. Going there for the event? Yes and no. I had few time that day and, as I said, it is close to my home. It is a good place for dragonflies pictures.

I'm glad you were inspired to go there for our event. It's such a beautiful photo.

And dragonflies are such wonderful insects. I've never photographed one, however, too fast for me!
