IMG 1127-001-Wear Dunn & Co's Hats
According to Ghost Signs: A London Story by Sam Roberts "Dunn & Co. was a national manufacturer and retailer of hats and menswear founded by the Quaker George Dunn in the late 1880s. When he retired in 1929 he handed his almost three hundred shops to the company's management, but by the early 1960s there were only a hundred and eighty, and the company was wound up in the 1990s. The Islington branch moved here in the early 1920s and traded until at least 1972, when a photo shows the sign already quite faded."
