I believe that the phone boxes are still used, although no doubt less so than in the past. They are in back of the Royal Courts of Justice, so I imagine that, in the days before mobile phones, they saw a lot of use by journalists, lawyers and litigants. It's rare to see a row of four and a mix of K2 and K6 boxes.
