The Chiemsee Painters 03

The "Chiemsee Painters" are a group of landscape and genre painters who were active on Lake Chiemsee from approximately 1830 to 1970.

Many of the artists had Bavarian roots and belonged to the then world-famous Munich School of painting.

A part of their artistic work is on display at the Augustinian Canons' Monastery on Herrenchiemsee.
