Prefer the black and white but more for the size, I think with a color in 2/3 size it will be more dfficult to choose.

I also prefer the black and white photo, for the rectangular format, like Bédé, but also for the black and white with more contrast, the vignetting and even the DOF, which is deeper with a 24x36 mm than with a 6x6 cm image. On the 135 photo, pebbles are crisp everywhere. They seem a little blurry in the foreground, here.
A shallow DOF is great when you need a blurry background that emphasize your subject, but hardly ever for the foreground;)

I tend do shoot the same thing with at least two of my cameras that I have with me on such occasions :) So there will be more comparisons to look at :)
