Bei meinem Smarphone kann man mehrere Formate in den Einstellungen der Foto-App auswählen (Photography_Pro von Sony); 4:3 (Sensorformat), 3:2, 1:1 und 16:9.
ich wechsle beim Fotografieren meist Motivabhängig, und manchmal beschneide ich auch nachträglich, dabei halte ich mich an einem dieser Formate.
Hier war16x9 eingestellt ;-)
