God’s Wonderful Railway station
Caerdydd Canolog (Cardiff Central).
Caerdydd derives from the older Welsh form Caerdyf which is a combination of caer (fort) and dyf (a form of Taf as in the River Taff) by which Cardiff stands. The frontage is iconic (with the exception of the awful porch) and as Isambard Kingdom Brunel designed.
Planning for £139M re-development of the surrounding area is due to be presented later this year, I do hope it won’t have IKB spinning in his grave.
