SC 73 - In your own home
In pride of place this well over 70 year old bookcase was made of old-style, oak school desks by my father as he hated to see all of that beautiful wood going to waste. It’s much loved in the family and has been passed around to several members depending on who needs it most! Underneath the router is the box for storing old records the back of which has a small hole in - ever a very humourous man he deliberately chose a piece with the hole for the ink well !!!
I am the current custodian and always feel part of my father is with me.

MaggsMep club has replied to Annemarie clubBooks are for me the most important part in the house, sometimes I think I have to make room as I don’t want to add libraries, but it is a hard choice…
Your father was very handy ! Sure it will go on being appreciated for generations.

Ps: I like your lamp and that beautiful vintage fire extinguisher!
MaggsMep club has replied to Keith Burton clubThe old fire extinguisher is another sort of memorial piece, this one to my dearly loved and much missed hubby (Keith) who was a retained firefighter.
Keith Burton club has replied to MaggsMep clubThe fire extinguisher is a fine thing to remember your late husband by Maggie. He must have been a good bloke with that name :-)
