Intriguing chimney Maggs you would expect the stone to be on the slate roof side,

An unusual looking chimney Maggie............I can see why you felt compelled to take a photograph! I would have!

I like the mismatched pots and the odd arrangement of the bricks and stone, which, as Roger noted, seem to be round the wrong way! Some nice old terracotta roof tiles there too.
