Should we see, through this title and tribute to Wolfgang Mattheuer, the symbolism of Armstrong's giant step applied to the IMA ? ;)

Thanks, Eric, the idea was actually to set a symbol for the step IMA has taken. For me, the 1st September date was really important and I think, we did the right thing.

The symbolism of Matthauers sculpture is nicely analyzed in the second link, to my regret, this is only available in German.

Ich glaub', ich muß wieder hin. War wohl gerade ein Ausstellungswechsel.

Beeindruckend, was der Herr Plattner mit dem vielen Geld macht, das er hier um die Ecke verdient hat.

Es läuft noch bis 3.10. "Von Hopper bis Rothko. Amerikas Weg in die Moderne".
