The larger one is best suited for chunky and twining (plying), but copes well also with laceweight as you can see. The little one does as great job on laceweight and is my favourite just now.

Part kit from an open source (electric eel wheel), part our own design. We will continue to improve on the design with a new shaft to fit Swedish standards so that I can fit larger bobbins and bearings to decrease variability.

After a bit of TLC, oil and sanding it makes yarn : ) click-clock-click-clock it says. Perhaps I should add a piece of felt between the foot pedal end the vertical shaft?
