This stela shows a man named Aku (at right) in a posture of praise. He faces a divine figure named in the text above as "Min, Horus the Strong (Harnakht), Horus the Son of Osiris." Yet the central vertical text simply calls him "Min," and none of the falcon god Horus’s iconography is incorporated into the figure, who is a standard representation of ithyphallic Min. The stela recounts how Aku, the overseer of the house of divine offerings, attended the Going Forth of Min, a festival in which priests brought the deity’s statue out of its temple for public celebration.
