Sunrise & Sunset
Langstone Harbour

This is an old shot to test a Mac App called "FX Studio" which I recently downloaded. This effect took three clicks of the mouse: one to add the colour effect, one to add the frame and the final one to tonemap the results. I'm quite impressed!
The sea on fire!
Amaryllis
| |
|
Taken around sunset at Gunwharf Quays, Portsmouth. The "superyacht" at the back is called Amaryllis and is virtually brand new. A quick Google reveals it was built and launched in Germany in August this year. It is 78 metres long with a gross tonnage of 2050. Takes 12 guests in 6 luxury staterooms who are looked after by a crew of 22.
At first I thought it was my surprise Christmas present.......................then I woke up!!!!

A couple of shandies, a decent enough meal, good company and a fair to middling sunset................not a bad way to spend an evening!

The remains of the day!

One of my earlier sunset shots this year revisited (nothing much else to do in this weather)!
Tone mapped from one original.
Golden tinged sands at low tide

Taken just after the sun dipped below the horizon! About the only shot of the (slightly disappointing) sunset I was happy with! Still, after a week of early shifts at work, it got me out in the fresh air for an hour or so ;+]
Mist or No Mist? That is the question!
| |
|
|
The moment before full sunrise when we were not sure whether the mist was going to roll in or not! If it hadn't then our early start, long drive and hard hill climb may have been wasted! As it turned out, the mist rolled in right on cue!
