A Healthy Breakfast?

A Healthy Breakfast?
This one is especially for Maggie (MaggsMep) as she pretty much challenged me not to post another "Marmite" photo :-)))

Taken indoors on my tabletop in natural window light. Afterwards, I drank the orange juice, my wife ate the boiled egg and the jar of Marmite will go to my daughter, who loves it. The toast and marmite went in the bin..!!

Maggie........if it's any consolation I got some Marmite on my fingers when setting up the shot and licked my fingers clean without thinking............it took ages to get rid of the taste. Yuk..!!

Frans Schols, TRIPOD MAN, Xata, Berny and 17 other people have particularly liked this photo

Ha ha, what have you done Maggie ;-))
I was offered a sample of marmite chocolate once! I shouldn't have taken it....felt ill for the rest of the day! However, it looks a lovely breakfast, minus the big 'M' and it's very well captured.

All the best and a good weekend Keith.

Ha, ha..........glad you like the photo Rosa, but I don't think Maggie has seen it yet or maybe she's ignoring me. I just couldn't help myself :-)))

I don't know how any one can eat Marmite..!!

Have a good weekend yourself!

So... I understand marmite is made from what is left at the bottom of the brewer's fermentation tank. The beer tastes so much better than what is left behind ;) Def not team marmite here :))

Keith Burton club has replied to Ed Synchro club
I think you're probably right Ed..............and yes to the beer, but a definite NO to the Marmite.

Ha, ha..................I just couldn't resist. I should thank you really as I was trying to think of what to use in my next bit of tabletop photography.

I'm glad it didn't annoy you..........and at least you didn't have to taste it, even accidentally :-))

Marmite - what's this ???
Keith Burton club has replied to bonsai59 club
Marmite is a food spread made mainly from yeast. The yeast comes as a by-product of the beer brewing process. It has a very salty and strong flavour and smell.

People tend to either love it or hate it..!!

Bah! Pfui deibel! Danach musste ich erstmal viel trinken.
Ich habe mich gefragt, wer produziert so etwas?

Everything is OK for me except the Marmite, which I hate..!!

If they won a war with it.........they probably fired it at the enemy :-)))
