This my entry for the latest challenge in the Macro Dreams Challenges group. The subject is "Furniture Leg".

This is part of the leg of a small table that sits next to my armchair and holds a table lamp, a couple of books and my Kindle..........and a space for my coffee cup.

Taken indoors in natural window light, using in-camera focus stacking. I even polished it up for you to show off the grain in the wood :-)

It will also fit into these challenges: Circles or Curves, Lines, Stripes or Ridges.

It looks beautifully warm and tactile, perfectly done! I usually am too lazy to dust and polish things before taking photos and then I'm mad at the results;-)

Thanks Gudrun............glad you like it.

The table has four legs and I only polished this one..............I don't want to overdo it :-)))

Yes, a very nice leg reminding me of our old wooden staircase banisters in our last house. I like the depth of field here as well as the background and yes the extra polish has worked well. Well done.

Cheers. Herb

Beautiful grains and lovely rich colour to the wood to a superb close up, Keith,
Lovely light which sets it off so well against the muted background

A very attractive table leg! Now you will have to polish the other three legs or it will look a bit odd!

Turned spiral with wood “eyes” centered, nice shinning color too. Hope you polished the other legs not to leave them jealous, a fight between legs could endanger your coffee cup and else !!!

Thank you so much Isabel. Glad you like this one. I only polished the one leg, but I don't want to run the risk of upsetting the other three..........so I'll get on to it immediately :-))
