Biscuits
Taken for the Macro Dreams ✨ challenge: Theme - Biscuits.
I didn't want to do the usual type of biscuits, so I went for mini dog biscuits, the type you can get loose from some pet shops. As I don't have a mini dog, or any other kind of dog for that matter, I had to go and buy some. They won't go to waste as my older daughter has a dog and he'll be getting them later today. These are a little over twice life size.
They should also fit in the previous challenges: Multiple, Something Rough, Multi-Coloured.
These were captured using in-camera focus stacking to maximise depth of field. I enjoyed taking these so much I've put another three versions in the PiPs, if you want to look at them.

Keith Burton club has replied to Rosalyn Hilborne clubMost of the lastest Olympus cameras and Pro lenses (especially the macro lenses) allow focus stacking. (I'm pretty sure some other makes have it too). Here are the basics:
"Focus stacking is a way to increase the depth of field by merging the sharp parts of several photos. Basically, in the focus stacking mode, when you press the shutter it automatically takes a string of photos at different focus points. It then uses its own internal software to align the photos and merge them into a single image in such a way that it greatly increases the depth of field".
It's a bit fiddly to set up and do, and ideally needs a tripod, but it can also be done handheld if you are steady enough. Once you master it, the results can be amazing.
Of course, the stacking can be done manually, but it requires special software to process.
