These windows are above a closed down shop and they caught my eye whilst I was waiting for my wife outside a shop (again).

There are two more in the PiPs if you fancy looking.

Günter Klaus, trester88, Jörg, Frans Schols and 15 other people have particularly liked this photo

The flag on the left looks like the faded colours of the Brazilian flag. They certain help to brighten the windows up. Not sure I'd go enter the room of the 2nd PiP! There is always a pigeon happy to be in the picture! A good series Keith.

Les couleurs me font penser que peut être tu évoque l'Ukraine ? les deux colombes semblent attendre d'aller chercher le rameau de la paix. Puissent-elles ne pas trop attendre

To be honest and to my shame, I had no idea what the Ukraine flag looked like when I took this photo. So I can't take any credit for that.

Those are very busy housemates, do a lot of flag-shopping! It seems even the pigeons are divided. What are the blue and red ones with Union Jack? I could look it Up, but I'm lazy.

Oh...never mind, I found them after perusing a mind-boggling array of British flag types. Blue base is called "Union Jack Wear Blue Ensign Flag" (?) and Red base is simply "British Red Ensign." This led me to an extensive look at US flags, including states and military, and the complex rules of etiquette regarding same. Kids don't know the national flag rules anymore unless their fathers were/are in the military.

It can be very complicated: In a nutshell, the Blue Ensign can be used by used by anyone who has a vessel more than 7m long that is British owned and registered in your name in the General Central Register of British Ships.

The Red Ensign is basically the British Merchant Shipping Flag which can be flown by any vessel registered in the UK, a Crown Dependency (CD) or an Overseas Territory (OT).

Ob gewollt oder zufällig, die Ukraine-Farben und die Friedenstauben haben eine besondere Symbolik.
