Great macro! - However, I prefer the native seven-point ladybird.

Another superb macro Keith!
I haven't seen any yet! Very interesting to see them so close up.

Thanks Rosa...............I've seen a couple so far, but this is the first one I was able to get close enough to for a decent shot. Glad you like it.

I've had a lovely day so far, a bit of gardening and a family video chat on Whatsapp. We have a roast for dinner, then a movie I think. I hope you've had an enjoyable day too.

Woa, Keith, fantastic shot! Miss Lady Bug looks wonderful on the fuzzy, grey lamb's ears. (At least I think that's what the plant is.)

Oh this is the Asian Ladybug ...

Ladybugs can look different. As pretty and cute as they are, they know how to defend themselves - with a foul-smelling poison secretion. An effective protection against attackers.
The brighter, the worse the taste: the color of the ladybird's wing leaves reveals its toxicity.

You're right of course aNNa.............but these seem to be in the majority here at the moment and we think that it's forcing our native species out! On the plus side they're very effective aphild killers!!
