Tropical Butterfly on Plastic Feeder

Tropical Butterfly on Plastic Feeder
One of the butterflies to be found at Marwell Zoo in the new tropical house. These gourd-shaped feeders provide a ready source of food.

Ernest CH, Nouchetdu38, John FitzGerald, Rosalyn Hilborne and 4 other people have particularly liked this photo

They usually eat nectar from flowers so I'd guess it's something sweet like sugar syrup.

Thank you Rosa. Glad you like it. The tropical house is pretty new and has taken some time to mature, but it gets better each time we visit.
