Spotted on a market stall selling vintage goods..........I liked the colours and artwork.

With you 100% on this one, Keith. When I saw this as a small thumb image, I immediately thought that's very nice. Not only the content and the colours, but the fact you have somehow made your mellow image to appear as if it is also of the same vintage.
Provided it would not have broken the bank, I would have bought that biscuit tin...with or without any contents.

Glad you like it Neil. I cloned out the price tag but the stall-holder wanted £15 for the tin, which I thought was a bit steep.

It is indeed beautiful and well-made, and it's also self-referential. On the biscuit tin is...a depiction of the tin! And on the depiction of the tin...a depiction of the tin with the depiction of the tin! Designed by Zeno of Elia, perhaps.

Thanks for your well thought out reply John........I'm afraid I had to Google Zneo............but I think I get your meaning. I hadn't even thought about the self-referencing thing until you mentioned it.

I was thinking of Zeno's account of the hare and the tortoise, with neither being able to win. I don't think Zeno did very well at the track.
