Lordington Lavender

Lordington Lavender
Lordington Lavender had their Open Days this past weekend before the crop is harvested. I made the mistake of going on Sunday! Hot, sweaty and hundreds of people.- with not a chance of getting any images of the whole field without anyone else in the shot - as you can see! Next year I may book one of their private group tours. I did manage to get a few half-decent images which I'll post over the next few days.

A link if anyone is interested: www.lordingtonlavender.co.uk

Thanks Noisette. It's not possible to visit this place outside of the open days.........it's on private property away from the roads and footpaths and well guarded (as the crop is very valuable).

I like the idea of coming to France, but my days of travelling abroad are probably over!

Jean Paul

Thank you very much Jean Paul. The Open Days for this year have been cancelled because of the pandemic.

Thanks Herb. They have "open days" each year just before they cut it all down for processing (or they did until Covid-19 hit). Other than that the fields are inaccessible to the public. It's always really busy and impossible to get a shot with no people in it (unless you can afford to rent it privately before the open days)!

I was quite happy with this one though..........and I'm pleased you like it too!
