Tulpenbecher hat Besuch
Auf dem Michaelsberg nahe Karlsruhe fand man Ende des 19. Jh. Besiedlungsspuren, die auf älter als 6000 Jahre datiert werden. Scherben weisen auf die Tulpenbecherkultur hin, die nach diesem Fund auch Michelskultur genannt wird. Benachbarte Bergkuppen Richtung Bruchsal weisen ebenfalls derartige Funde auf. Es fanden sich aufgeschüttete Gruben mit zerborstenem Küchengerät, Werkzeugen und Menschenknochen. Gräber fand man nicht. Mithilfe geomagnetischer Messungen im Jahr 2010 fand man Schutzwälle und Gräben, die heute nicht mehr sichtbar sind.
Neben der Michaelskapelle steht eine Stele mit einem nachgebildeten Tulpenbecher. Die Wildbiene fand es hier in der Morgensonne wohl gemütlich:-)
