Love is blue and so are these pretty flowers I found at the beach.
Paul Mauriat from his " Le Grand Orchestre de Paul Mauriat – Volume 5" album released in 1967. (I remember this instrumental growing up and always loved it. To me it always sounded happy :)
It's so interesting now to read about this orchestra leader. I had no knowledge of him and that he was French just makes this all the more special to me now. About the song if you're interested: Wiki L'amour est bleu

I've got a little leftover stock from my trip to the pet shop last weekend so I thought I'd link it with this classic by the "Pet Shop Boys." Anybody remember this one?
Pet Shop Boys first released this as a single in 1984 and then later on their 1986 album "Please."

This is one of my first attempts at "Astrophotography." Not an easy task, but a very exciting challenge nonetheless. The thing I found hardest to do was to get any kind of focus on the stars themselves. I will keep on trying after the full moon when the sky is darker.

This is the Seabeck Marina on Hood Canal. It was destroyed along with a lot of boats in the big storm of 1990 and had to be rebuilt. The new name is actually "Olympic View Marina," but I still call it the Seabeck Marina. :)

I'd go out on the ocean

And we could all together

This is my son's lava lamp on the kitchen counter with the refrigerator in the background. I used the "mirror" effect in PicMonkey on it so now there are two lava lamps! I went looking for a song with the word "lava" in it and found this adorable animated short from Pixar.
I hope you will enjoy it as much as I did! (I got a soft spot for Pixar lol :)

I think this one by "Blues Image" from 1970 will work.

Time for some bluegrass with Alison Krauss and Union Station.
I could only find one good link to each of these tunes and since my links aren't always available to everyone you get two choices of songs this time.

If you're lucky maybe you can see them both. Enjoy!

...of Appalachia (My Appalachian Mountains (The Olympics)
Sight and Sound
Back in the 1970s I lived and worked in Seattle. Sometimes on the weekend I would go to my nearby Peaches Records or Tower Records store and spend some of my hard earned cash on a few albums. Some of my best finds were albums I picked just by the covers. One time I chose this pretty young lady's album :
Valerie Carter
It has been a gem in my collection ever since. Where did you get your music?
From her 1977 "" album Valerie Carter's "Face of Appalachia" written by Lowell George and John Sebastian:
Face Of Appalachia or Face Of Appalachia
