Hammer Time!

Hammer Time!
I took this image about a year ago in better times for our dear city.

This motorized sculpture is called "Hammering Man" and celebrates the worker in us all.

Very well taken, Karen ! By the way: we have the same sculpture in front of the ‚Messeturm‘ in Frankfurt. I didn’t know that it’s existing two times ! But when I looked in Wikipedia I found that this work exists in several cities all over the world. It’s a work of the American artist Jonathan Borowsky in several scales and with a different number on the leg. Guten Morgen und einen schönen Tag !

Now and looking at his hands we can imagine one holding the tool and the other begging for a job...

Hi Karen

A very nice picture, and a theme often repeated around the world
I'm not sure who thought of it, but I remember a poster from Russia some 45 years ago with a man hammering something like this... (Of course in those days the hammer and sickle was the emblem of Russia)

Wonderful composition by the way!

Best Wishes, a nice weekend, and stay safe!!

Great, indeed!
It's the hammer! (We say in German when we want so say it's great, it's awesome) :-)
I've seen him almost 20 years ago when we went to Seattle.
