Cream

This week in SSC:

"Photographing Dishes and Dinnerware"

I thought I'd feature my little creamer (with a "mirror" effect) for this challenge.

....and for Sight and Sound:

Cream from their album "Goodbye" (1969)

delightful setting. i like that the background is so busy and rich colored in nice contrast to the pitcher.

i'm curious, did you decide on the mirror effect before you began or after you saw your photo of the pitcher?

Thanks, Laura. I decided to add the mirror effect after I took the pic. It just looked kinda boring without it. :)

The mirror effect works great here, Karen. A smashing mix of beautiful colours. A clever musical choice for 'Sight and Sound' :-) Classic Cream! I didn't realise this track was written by Eric Clapton and George Harrison. Learnt something new today :-)

Thank you for posting to Sight and Sound : Pictures & Music

Thanks so much, Roger. George tells the story of how it got its title in his autobiography. It's pretty funny. From Wiki:

Harrison remembered the story thus:

"I helped Eric write "Badge" you know. Each of them had to come up with a song for that Goodbye Cream album and Eric didn't have his written. We were working across from each other and I was writing the lyrics down and we came to the middle part so I wrote 'Bridge.' Eric read it upside down and cracked up laughing – 'What's BADGE?' he said. After that, Ringo walked in drunk and gave us that line about the swans living in the park."
