Books!

Books!
This week in SSC:

"Books"

I took a photo of my book and then slipped it into this frame using an online editing program called "pho.to" (Original photo in PiP.)

I've always been a big fan of English author Daphne Du Maurier so I chose to feature her book "Frenchman's Creek" which is about a frustrated young aristocratic woman living in the 17th century. (It was also made into a movie twice.)

If you like suspense, romance and a bit of a twist you'll really enjoy this book. I couldn't put it down. (If you don't like spoilers don't read any synopses of it since they give way too much away. It's so much better to be surprised! :)

Smiley Derleth, , Sami Serola (inactive), Erhard Bernstein and 15 other people have particularly liked this photo

Ah, merci beaucoup, Nautilus! :) I didn't know that but those books are now on my list to read for sure.

My sister also has her autobiography that I am interested in too. Lots of fun reading ahead!

What a great cheerful looking presentation for your book, Karen! It makes me happy just looking at it! And that's what books can do to a person. I've never read that one by her, but have you read her novel Rebecca? It's a great book with a big twist at the end. Plus, it was made into a great movie.

Thank you, Kenny. I'm glad it made you happy. :)

Yes! "Rebecca" was the first of her books that I read (twice) and have seen the movie several times. I just love them both! The opening passage of the book just grabs you and I was so happy that the movie did the book justice since that isn't always the case.

It's a very simple but fun editor, Roger. Way below your talents though, I'm afraid. :))
